\nWe are much honored to have you here on this website. Tigray is passing through extraordinary times. Its very existence is under immense pressure from social, economic and political challenges. The region\u2019s three decades progress towards economic development and technological catch up have faced a setback which might span for a much longer period.
\nSuccumbing to this challenge is neither inevitable nor an option, however, if we prepare ourselves to exploit emerging opportunities and leapfrog towards development. One of the ways we should overcome our immense challenges is by investing on technology and thereby exploiting global knowledge.
\nWe, at the Tigray Plan Commission, have been striving to overcome our share of the challenges to plan and coordinate our economy. As a newly reorganized institution mandated with regional planning, budgeting as well as monitoring and evaluation, we are endeavoring to set the stage for effectively dispensing our responsibilities.
\nWe believe using digital alternatives to access information and get accessible is key in increasing speed, efficiency and transparency of our activities. This is only the start. We will continue striving to do better in this regard and many other fronts. Having you here, we won\u2019t have to walk it alone. We look forward to your constructive feedback.
